Jefferson County Clerk Has Passed Away
For over two decades, Bobbie Holsclaw served the citizens of Jefferson County with integrity and honor. Throughout her distinguished career, Bobbie made lasting contributions through her work at the Clerk's Office, leaving an indelible mark on this community with her many accomplishments. As a public servant, Bobbie leaves behind a legacy of leadership, compassion, and integrity.
Bobbie first took office as County Clerk in 1999. With a unique blend of integrity and dedication, Ms. Holsclaw redefined the County Clerk's Office's vision and significantly elevated its performance. Her goal was to revolutionize citizen-government interaction while delivering VIP service to customers.
As County Clerk, Ms. Holsclaw also served as Chairperson for the Board of Elections, where she was the first Clerk to successfully implement private voting for visually impaired and physically challenged voters in Jefferson County. She always vowed to maintain election integrity and security.
Encouraging her team to embody the values of the Jefferson County Clerk's Office, Ms.Holsclaw instilled a mission-driven approach among all staff members. The mission, emphasizing Value, Integrity, and Performance, was embraced by every employee, reflecting the office's commitment to providing VIP service to every citizen.
Bobbie's compassionate spirit spilled over to her work as County Clerk by involving the office in many charitable causes. Her most proud and closest to her heart is the WHAS Crusade for Children, where, during her tenure as Clerk, she raised over $500,000 for the Crusade.
