Kentucky Revised Statute Section 64.012 as amended by House Bill 537, mandates the following fee changes:
Motor Vehicle Standard Plate Registration Renewal: $21
Motor Vehicle Renewal of 10,000 lb Plates or Greater: Varies by Weight
Motor Vehicle Title Application: $9
Lien Filing Fee: $22
Permanent Disabled Placard (First issuance or renewal of primary placard): $0
Temporary Disabled Placard: $0
Duplicate Title Fee: $6
Duplicate Registration Fee: $3
Duplicate Registration with Decal Fee: $6
Lien penalty for late MV Taxes: $2
Marriage License: $60 (as of June 27, 2025)
There is a $10.00 fee for a second Disabled Placard (only available for Blue-6 year placards) or to replace a lost or stolen Disabled Placard.
