TARC Election Day Free Fare

On May 11, 2022, the Transportation Authority of River City (TARC) shared with the public that they will make all TARC and TARC3 bus routes fare-free during Primary Election Day, Tuesday, May 17.

The Jefferson County Clerk’s Office welcomes this announcement, and applauds this civic and community effort to ensure that voters have as much access to the over 200 precinct polling places across Jefferson County open that day.

Bobbie Holsclaw, Jefferson County Clerk and Board of Elections Chairperson, is available for interviews from now until the polls close Tuesday, May 17 at 6 p.m. to discuss the importance of voting, the importance of community efforts to ensure the most equitable access to polling, and other accessibility considerations.
